Quiet month, just rounding out the FY slowly.

Cogstate Ltd – CGS.ASX – The Eli Lily drug has been having some effect in slowing progression, but hasn’t been as effective as people have hoped. Despite that I am still hopeful for treatments and interest in slowing/stopping Alzheimers. So I topped up a little bit of these guys. Lots of uncertainty, they have quite a few competitors all focussing on slightly different aspects of rapid cognitive assessments. I think holding a small allocation of CGS, alongside some of the early stage pharma companies, could be a good way to spread risk as the winners are very uncertain. I like the look of Actinogen Medical Ltd. – ACW.AX as their drug may be synergistic with the current Eli Lily one. But I haven’t done all the research I need to, and I have no idea what other drugs are undergoing trials.
